I’m an impressionist oil painter drawn to the wonder and beauty of the natural world.

I paint landscapes inspired by the familiar woods and shorelines near our home in Northern Michigan, as well as the canyons and mountain views I’ve encountered while exploring our national parks. I paint from my home studio, where I live with my husband, our three teenage boys, and our sweet pup.

Over the years, painting landscapes has become much more than capturing a beautiful scene. It’s grown into a deeply meaningful way for me to reflect on the awe and life woven into each moment—moments infused with emotion and connection. Memories of times in nature that have evoked peace and wonder.

I paint because it’s the best way I know to express the gratitude, awe, and joy that fill my soul.

My faith in God shapes how I live, create, and see the world — it’s an inseparable part of who I am.

Painting is my heartfelt response — an outpouring of joy.

After all, if the rhythmic waves of the lake and delicate trillium blooms can sing their songs of joy to their Creator, so can I — with brushes, paint, and canvas. I love to meditate on passages like these while I paint..

“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let the sea roar and all that fills it! Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them! Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy.” Psalm 96:11-12

My artwork may be an overflow of gratitude, but it’s also an invitation for you
