My Favorite go-to Frames

With so many options out there, it can be hard to choose a nice frame for your new art print. So, I thought it would be helpful to highlight a few frames that I have tried and loved!

As you shop, I recommend going up a size in the frame you choose. This will allow space for a nice mat. Adding a mat can give your art a clean polished look and a bigger presence on your wall. And most of these frames come with a mat already, which is perfect!

CB2 Brass frame with a 16x20” fine art paper print of “The Overture”

Above is one of my very favorite frames. It is this Brass Frame from CB2. This frame is solid, elegant and comes in larger sizes. It can be especially hard to find frames for large prints with actual glass (instead of plexiglass). But this one has real glass for prints up to a 24x 36” size!

Frames from Pottery Barn with 8x10” prints of “Lakeside II” and “Verdant Solace”

These wood frames (above) from Pottery Barn are great. I love that they come in a variety of sizes and also have great color options. Shown here in the rustic wood that they no longer carry, but the gray wash, natural and white colors are great too. You can find these wood frames from PB here.

A frame from Michaels, with 8x10” prints of “River Serenade” and “Cadence”

While I haven’t found many frames at Michaels that I like, I did find this one that I love for 8x10” prints in their specialty frame section. They have had it around for a couple of years now, so I hope it is here to stay.

The gold frame above (on the right ) is a new favorite. Sold by a Michigan based company called Craig Frames, I like this simple gold frame for lots of reasons. One, it is available in LOTS of sizes. You can even order it in a custom size without having to pay custom prices. Another reason to love it is that all of their frames are made in America. Craig frames sells mats in custom sizes as well. Just know that their larger frames will include plexiglass.

I hope this helps you in your search to find a great frame for your new art print. And if you didn’t see one you like, your local framer is always a great option. They are experts at framing and at making your new art look amazing. They can even offer UV protectant and an anti glare glass that is really wonderful.

While I haven’t tried these frames personally, here are a few more options that look great if you need more ideas…

This one looks great from West Elm…

Framebridge has lots of great options like this walnut frame…

This gunmetal frame from Crate and Barrel looks nice too..

And this new one from Target has great potential.
